個別に食事内容のヒアリングを行い経験による栄養指導を行っている。

しかし、ITに習熟した栄養士は少なく、コグニティブコンピューティングは現在まだ適用されていない。

食事のスマホ映像によるカロリー告知サービスも一部存在しているが、栄養士が目視で判定している。
食の偏在、文化圏を超えた対処地域設定、教師モデル構築に必要なデータ編集、画像診断モデル構築、
ビジネスに転換してAPIエコノミーを構築できるチームは他にはない。

1.日本やアメリカなどカロリ摂取過多が課題の地域だけでなく、食料が不足する
 課題解決のサービスを目指している。
 人類学者として、パプアニューギニア現地調査経験が豊富な、河辺博士はCEOリーダとして最適である。

2.コグニティブコンピューティングのPssSであるBluemixを活用して課題解決の
 モデル作成、評価、ビジネスとしての事業計画作成と実践には技術的な知見とともに
 経営経験も要求される。
 藤田は2年以上Bluemix環境でAPIを開発し、過去IPOも経験した経営者である。

河辺は京都大学人類学を専攻し、東京大学では博士号を取得、40年にわたり、
パプアニューギニアを中心に現地調査を中心とした研究してきた。
研究過程で、ITの活用を試行してきた。
特に栄養状態の観測では食事のヒアリングに依存するため
現地人とのコミュニケーションギャップ解消が課題であった。
スマホによる画像から直接的な判定はができれば、実態把握が確実になると考えた。
本プロジェクト発案者であり、グローバル展開のルート開拓を行う。

We start to develop a new API service to calculate the calories from
the diet the video taken by the smartphone.

CEO:Dr. Kawabe have rich experience of field survey in Papua New Guinea As anthropologist.

Our new business, food information provider, is a challenge for “Blue Ocean” where we don’t see any direct competition at
this moment. According to McKinsey (April 2015), Obesity became a bigger public-health problem than hunger since 2010.
Advanced economies like Japan have a lot of nutrition science practitioners giving anti-obesity advices to people.
Smartphone picture based calorie notification services are emerging but most requires human behind the scenes.
Most nutrition science practitioners lack IT skills and cognitive computing is not applied yet.
We will attempt to build and deploy a food information service which can be used all over the world – crossing the
borders of geography and cultures (maybe religious enforcements as well) using cognitive computing.and delivered via APIs.
If there are any other teams with the same ambition, acceleration through competition and collaboration would benefit the world and human beings at large.
